WHAT UP INTERNET?
This past weekend the Bros hit up the inaugural PAX South and it did not disappoint. As you all know the Bros are big on gaming, so the opportunity to hit up a gaming convention was one we would not miss. We’re going to give you a quick rundown of what we did, what we saw and perhaps most importantly, what #Exclusives we were able to pull in!
We spent most of our time prowling the floor to play some games and pick up some #swag. Although PAX felt a little small by the Bros standards, this was the first PAX South so we can only hope it grows with time. Intel, Twitch, Gearbox, Greybox and many others had a presence at the event. We hit up all the booths we could to get our hands on as much #swag as possible. We snatched one of the elusive Twitch bags and shirts by dominating in Hearthstone, got our hands on some awesome Gearbox buttons, played some Evolve (Decent gameplay but no way it’s worth $60) and got a sweet Logitech scarf, played some Grey Goo (Worst name evarrr for a decent game) for a sweet illuminating lanyard and got a nifty paper skull kid mask for playing Majora’s Mask on 3DS. Not a bad swag haul!
As you know the Bros are always chasin’ those #Exclusives, and this time was no different. Although we’re #Noobs in regard to the whole Pinny Arcade scene, we camped out to pull in some sweet #Exclusive pins.
To be perfectly honest, the Bros went pretty light on the panels for this Con. The only one which drew us away from the dearth of #Swag available was Gearbox’s big showcase on Sunday. They showed off 4-player split screen co-op for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and it looked even better than we could’ve predicted. The frame rate was smooth and all the relevant HUD information was present. They showed off upcoming updates and DLC and fans of Borderlands (like the Bros) are bound to be pleased.
They also talked about Battleborn, Homeworld:The Remastered Collection and Tales of the Borderlands. There’s quite a bit on the horizon for Gearbox and the worlds they’ve worked on, and the buttons we pulled in show they’ve got all their fans in mind.
PAX South 2015 was a resounding success for the Bros. We had a lot of fun, played tons of games and got our hands on an awful lot of swag. We’re going to keep living that #ConLife as much as we can and we’ll be sure to let you know of the next one we hit up! Until then, keep chasing them #Exclusives.
